Veteran Therapists Join to Create 'LifeWorks Counseling'

MONTCLAIR, NJ – March 2, 2012 – Two experienced therapists who believe in compassionate, goal-oriented counseling have joined forces to create LifeWorks Counseling, with offices in both Montclair and Nutley.

Gina M. Unger, a clinical social worker and former Director of Professional Services at Nutley Family Service Bureau, and Ingrid E. Burke, a clinical social worker and former counselor at the Nutley center, provide individual, couples and family therapy.

The two psychologists will provide services in Montclair and will continue seeing clients in Nutley. They both bring impeccable credentials and experience to their work with clients.

Ms. Unger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey with a master's degree in Social Work from New York University. She is a Board Certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work and a member of the National Association of Social Work, a Professional Member of the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation, the American Association of Christian Counselors, and the International Board of Christian Counselors. She is trained in Gerontology.

Ms. Burke is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a graduate of the Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service. Her education also includes a master's degree in management from the Stevens Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree in French and Economics from the University of Vermont. In addition, Ms. Burke is a Professional Member of the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation.

She said she believes in the innate strength of the individual.

"There is nothing more fulfilling to me than helping my clients regain their footing and move forward in their lives. We truly listen and support our clients," Ms. Burke said. Her work experience as a business consultant and analyst in the financial and software industries gives her insight to help others navigating career and work issues. She left the business world nearly a decade ago to follow her passion to help others.

LifeWorks Counseling provides therapy to help people coping with depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, as well as parenting, family and adolescent issues.
